Foo Fighters set to topple Adele
The Foo Fighters are on course to end Adele’s three-month domination of the albums market this week, according to the Official Chart Update which is unveiled today.
Dave Grohl’s band are heading for Number One in this Sunday’s Official Albums Chart with their new album Wasting Light, which is selling 50% faster than Adele’s 21 in second place.
On course for the Number 3 entry is the latest Glee Cast album, Volume 5, while Alison Krauss & Union Station’s Paper Airplane is targeting a Number 7 entry this Sunday.

Adele set to topple more records
Adele is on course to set a new landmark, with her album 21 on course to retain the Official Albums Number One spot for an 11th successive week this Sunday.
21 is again in pole position in the Official Albums Update, ahead of Katy B’s new album On A Mission in second place.
if Adele holds on, she will become the first artist to hold onto the Official Albums Number One slot for more than 10 weeks since Bob Marley’s Legend greatest hits held on for 12 weeks in 1984. The album has now sold more than 1.5m to date.

Jennifer Lopez is the latest US diva vying to topple Adele from the top of the Official Singles Chart, according to today’s Official Chart Update.
On The Floor by Jennifer Lopez Ft Pitbull is on course for a storming entry at Number One this Sunday, currently selling twice as many copies as Adele’s current Number One Someone Like You.
Adele’s 21 remains firmly in place at the top of the Official Albums Update and looks set to make it 10 weeks on top this Sunday, despite a raft of new competitors.

Nicole and Wanted on course to topple singles queen Adele
New singles by Nicole Scherzinger and The Wanted are on course to topple Adele from the Official Singles Chart summit after four weeks at the top, according to this week’s new Official Chart Update.
In the Official Singles Update, Scherzinger’s Don’t Hold Your Breath is on course for the Number One spot, with The Wanted’s Comic Relief single Gold Forever just behind – ahead of this Friday’s Red Nose Day celebrations. Adele’s Someone Like You is set for third place.
In its eighth week of release, Adele’s 21 continues to dominate the Official Albums Update though, after passing 1.2m sales yesterday. In turn, the Vaccine’s album What Do You Expect From The Vaccines is on course for a Number Two entry.

实话说，用“炼狱”来形容Eminem（艾米纳姆）在过去十年经历的一切似乎有点以偏概全。要知道他可是Sound Scan历史上最卖座的艺人之一，或者换句话说，他是流行音乐史上最富盛名、最具娱乐特质、最能赚钱的饶舌歌手——没有“之一”。总共3200万张唱片的销售记录，让Eminem的事业大半看来都是红红火火，招人嫉妒的。
但同时，我们也从来没有忽略过他那段放佛隐居士，却地球人都知道的日子：Eminem有药瘾，严重得差点要了他老命。国内很多歌迷都认为，外国艺人的瘾，指的都是毒品；而实际上，他们当中很多人都是对药物成瘾，例如安眠药、止痛剂、镇静剂。可以理解的是，这是艺人的工作需要——如果你每天只有五六个小时可以休息，但却因为工作压力过大而无法好好放松，你只有寻求药物的帮助。
一开始，Eminem也是这样想的。他吃下去一颗安眠药，发现终于有个东西真能让他在让人喘不过气来的巡演行程中睡个好觉，他感觉又激动又兴奋。就像我们头疼就吃止痛片，脚疼就贴狗屁药膏一样，Eminem爱上了“能治百病”的安眠药。但随着耐药性的增加，他需要的不再是每天一颗的安眠药，而是每天数颗，甚至是数十颗各种精神类药物的混合物：凡可汀、安定、美沙酮……
后来，他差点死在药片堆里。
随着《Relapse》的发行，在鬼门关走了一圈的Eminem步履维艰地回归了，而《Recovery》的红火大卖更让人们在忙于庆祝的同时，几乎忘却了他那五六年的非人经历。但Eminem没有，他因为药物而错了1/7的人生，所以他铁下心，不能荒废剩余的部分。他要当个好爸爸，陪伴四个子女左右，去弥补自己没有父爱的童年；他要做个好歌手，多唱几首好歌，去弥补曾经对他失望透顶的歌迷们。后来接受媒体采访中，这个已经看透所谓名利场的大红人，每句话都很诚恳，但每句话都放佛拒人千里。没办法，谁让他的故事大家都知道，但他的心思却永远隔一层纱！

Brits and Glee make Official Chart impact
The Brit Awards continue to have an impact on this week’s Official Charts, along with Gwyneth Paltrow’s appearance on Glee, according to the latest Official Chart Update.
Driven by sales of its Brit Awards live performance download, Adele’s Someone Like You continues to lead the way in the Official Singles Update, outselling its biggest rival by 70% – Jessie J Feat B.O.B.’s former number one Price Tag.
The other big impact on the chart is actress Gwyneth Paltrow, as part of the Glee Cast, who is set to make two Top 40 entries to the Official Singles Chart this Sunday, following her performance on More 4’s Glee on Monday evening.

Gaga’s new Born This Way single, which leapt to position three in last Sunday’s Official Singles Chart, after just 34 hours on sale, is now leading the field for this coming Sunday’s Official Singles Chart.
Its closest competitor is last week’s Official Number One, Price Tag by Jessie J Ft B.O.B., while Eyes Wide Shut by JLS Ft Tinie Tempah is making a big leap into the Top Five, up from number 17 in last week’s Official Singles Chart.
The leader of the albums market is Adele’s 21 album, which has now exceeded 500,000 sales after just 24 days – and continues to outsell its biggest competitor by almost three times.
